Ancestral Illumination

Ancestral Illumination

What is not mine, I return. Love stays. Weight does not.

I bow to those who carried me.
I receive the gift of life.
What is not mine, I return.
Love stays. Weight does not.

I call things by their name.
Truth comes in.
The lie stays out.
My heart is no longer storage,
but a gate.

I breathe in: I exist.
I breathe out: I release.
What was heavy falls away.
What is true remains.

I set my fences down.
Yes is yes. No is no.
Wait a moment is an answer too.
My body speaks first;
my words follow.

Ancestors behind me,
light before me.
I choose the path that rings true.
I choose the work that lives.
I choose the love that stays light.

And every day I say:
I keep the love, not the load.
I walk in truth.
Here, I belong.
