Reflection — Turning Away from Fear

There is a fear
in the collective
that can be sensed.
It is heavy.
Suppressing, even.
Old beliefs,
old customs,
old ways of surviving
are still being held onto
as if they were life itself.
And it is heavy to feel.
So I turn away.
Not out of denial,
but to make room
for inner knowing.
A space wide enough
to keep breathing.
Fear is human.
I understand that.
But a life built entirely
around fear
slowly becomes destructive.
One cannot truly live
that way.
So I will keep turning away
from what closes the field,
and return
to what opens it.
Because a life in fear
is no life at all.
